One day in time, eight different Blue Angel aircraft take off from eight different locations and times, each with a planned final destination. During their flights, each aircraft find themselves in an unexpected storm tossed space of sky, and after flying thru some nasty turbulence find them selves in a clear space over the clouds. As each pilot looks across the sky, they see other Blue Angels aircraft from different era's of Blue Angles history. After a few minutes of confusion they fall into the most natural flight position based on their knowledge of where they should be.
For a brief moment, as if in a dream, they fly together to honor each other's place in the history of the team. After a few minutes of formation flight, they each leave the formation and fly back to their individual destinations and times, each aware of the importance of the moment, but wondering about what just happened. By the time they land, each pilot knows something strange and wonderful had occurred, but each not wanting to share it with anyone less they be accused of being crazy. Upon landing at their individual bases, each in their own time, the Blue Angel pilots find a copy of the above picture in their in-basket entitled "for one brief shining moment".
